"I was regretting the past and fearing the future. Suddenly my Lord was speaking.
"My name is I AM." He paused. I waited
He continued, "When you live in the past, with it's mistakes and regrets, it is hard.
I AM not here.
My name is not I was. When you live in the future, with it's problems and fears, it is hard.
I AM not here.
My name is not I will be."
"When you live in this moment, it is not hard, I AM here.
My name is I AM."

"If we doctors threw all our medicines into the sea, it would be that much better for our patients and that much worse for the fishes." Oliver Wendell Holmes, M.D.

I have begun to monitor my B.P. daily. I haven't needed the prescribed medicine for a week.!
Thanx Dr. Holmes.

Sometimes we wonder. What happened?

In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.

A week ago, after church, we had a pot luck dinner and said farewell to Doug and Linda and two of their boys. Then I had the pleasure of going bowling with two teen-age girls.
Stefanie has sort of adopted me as her grandfather since she doesn’t have one, and I included Carissa, her friend, in on the excursion.
It was a lot of fun.
Stefanie called me cute! Not because of any physical attributes, but because of the way I bowl.
Well kid, say what you will, my score almost doubled yours!

Ask almost any old grampa and he will probably agree: “There’s just something about a little girl.”

Tonight, while the bread was rising and then baking I did what all old grandpas do. I ironed my shirts and some of my slacks.
It allowed me time to listen to a really inspiring CD and reflect some on what Kathleen shared in church today.
How she learned, through the pain of having her sons taken away, riding on a train three hours to work teaching English to earn $5.00 per day, to let God control and find rest!
She told us about “church” services of less than a dozen people in her apartment singing and praising to the music on tapes sent to her from our little fellowship. It was an incredible story, and one not completely told, due to time restrictions.
God Bless Kathleen, Dylon and Brandon.
May you find it in your heart to not send them back to that terrible place. The legal system is convoluted and slanted against God fearing people.
